Membership
PSA is an advocate for PL products before code and standard setting organizations such as these:
- International Code Council
- National Fire Protection Association
- International Standards Organization
- local and state code-setting authorities
PSA membership is open to PL manufacturers and distributors, as well as organizations such as these:
- safety
- fire protection
- architecture
- electrical engineering
- building code writing
- facility management
There are three membership categories:
Voting Members: This category includes companies or individuals that manufacture or have some other role in the production of PL products or that derive their profits from PL technology as determined by the board. Annual dues are $1,155 (due each July). New members joining six months prior to the annual meeting will pay for the entire current fiscal year. New members joining three months prior to the annual conference will pay a membership fee prorated for the remaining months in the current year and the next year.
Nonvoting Members: This category includes individuals in affiliated professions and industries, including those who seek to include PL products when they design, build and maintain structures, such as architects, engineers, and facility managers. Annual dues are $300 for individuals, $500 for corporations.
Associate Members: This category includes individuals who work for universities, local, state and the federal government, such as fire inspectors and government building code. Annual dues are $100.
